Eithne (pronounced Enya), her mother Sibéal's lastborn puppy arrived safely (if rather later than expected) just after midnight on Easter Saturday, 8 April 2023. There was never any question that she would stay at Overdene as we only tried for a final litter from Sibéal in the hope of a girl for our direct bitch line - Eithne is our 7th generation. Her father is the lovely Woody (Shinehill Snow Patrol, owned by John & Liz Keene) - I first met Woody when he was still in Puppy classes and was thrilled to see how he has matured into a happy, friendly and gentle adult.

Like her mother before her, Eithne is both naughty and nice, and we were very pleased when her hip score came back at 5:6 (total of 11), and her elbows were graded 0:0 (see results of health tests above). Eithne had her first eye test under the BVA/KC/ISDS scheme in August 2024, being pronounced "unaffected" by the conditions checked for, with a grade 0 for gonioscopy.

Eithne gave us two lovely puppies (known as her "twins") in the middle of August 2025; she was a delightful mother, although "housekeeping" duties were not her favourite part of motherhood.

Currently, we have no plans to introduce her to the world of showing, but we hope that in time, she might give us another lovely litter.
