Dearbhaile, who was known as Miss Pink or "brown 'un" until she became the "chosen one" from Crosby (Willsbrook the Hairy Biker at Jandeburn) and Rúadhnait's three daughters is now all grown up and a delight to live with. Her father, Crosby, did us proud - it was well worth waiting for Dearbhaile's mother Rúadhnait to decide it was OK to have a final litter!

Dearbhaile quickly proved to be clever and resourceful and the easiest puppy we'd had at Overdene for a very long time. And although she remains a funny little dog, she is without doubt my best at retrieving!

Fully health tested, with excellent results, timings meant that we had to wait longer than we would have liked for Dearbhaile to try for her first litter - and when we tried in spring 2023, and then again in autumn 2023, Dearbhaile had other ideas. In autumn 2024, feeling that the timings would probably never be quite right, we sadly came to the decision that we would not be seeking Dearbhaile's help to continue the direct Overdene bitch line.
