Introducing Ríona, the bitch puppy from Iris's final litter who was chosen to stay at Overdene. Ríona was the 4th puppy to arrive, and was the darkest girl, and we were so pleased that the timing finally permitted us to be able to keep an Iris daughter.

Ríona is very naughty! She can open any door that isn't locked with a key or with a bolt/bar at the top, and has cleared the 4' puppy panels since the age of about 4 months, landing with a massive "thud" on the other side. For this reason, we were thrilled when her hip score came back at 4:6 (total of 10) and more importantly, her elbow grade at 0:0 despite the extra strain put on her front assembly with all her jumping! Ríona also had her eyes examined for the first time, including gonioscopy in 2022 and is "unaffected", with a grade 0 for gonioscopy.

Although Ríona was very lightly shown in Minor Puppy, Puppy and Junior classes, she has been taking time to grow up since leaving Junior in November 2022. We started taking her to shows again during 2023; however naughty she is at home, she has always behaved herself well in the show ring!

We tried for a first litter from Ríona in winter 2024 but sadly she missed. We are not sure if/when we will try again.
