We were surprised and delighted with Reiver's win today, after a lean period where he has been overlooked on many occasions often beaten by inferior Goldens. Reiver is such a dark Golden and so typy, it took a Championship Show judge with more years of Golden ownership and judging under her belt than I have been alive, to appreciate his many positive qualities. The icing on the cake was to be awarded 3rd place behind two very well constructed and eyecatching HPR breeds in the only class that really matters (the working class!) under the Best in Show judge, Sharon Pinkerton.
