Devastated to lose my beautiful Princess after a short illness at just 12.5 years, leaving her brother. I loved her so much, can't believe she has gone. Very lucky to have her son and daughter and three grand-daughters. Her spirit lives on through many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Run free Kiwi, chase those birds to your hearts content, until we are together again xxxx

*** Kiwi wins two Limit bitch classes on the trot at Birmingham National and Bath Championship Shows 2016, not only that at Birmingham she wins the Open Stakes and at Bath the Kennel Club Good Citizen Stakes under two esteemed all rounder judges, a rare thing for Goldens, go Kiwi!!! ***

*** Kiwi wins the Bitch CC & Reserve Best in Show at the Golden Retriever Club of Wales Championship Show 2013, she is back in the ring during 2016 after maternal duties ***

Kiwi caught my eye from 2 weeks old and as she grew just got better and better. There was something about her that stole my heart right from the start, just like her mum Pepper.

With the same waggy tail as her superstar mum, I am hoping she will follow in her mum's footsteps. She is very much a fidget when it comes to standing still though, as she has inherited her granny Teal's non stop waggy bum and like her also wags on the move!

Kiwi and her brother Chieftan were the pups who drew the short straw to remain with their family, from a grand total of 18 puppies - 10 of Pepper's and 8 of Rally's born just 6 days apart.

Kiwi is very responsive and a quick learner and every time I tell her she is a good girl I am showered with kisses. Her whistle recall is instant, no matter how far away she is, but she is very 'birdy' and delights in making the crows take flight. She and her brother are very special, as they are in direct descent from my foundation bitch Ramble, five generations of Tenfield breeding.

Kiwi had a great start to her show career, qualifying for Crufts 2011 at her first Championship Show. She then won the Puppy Bitch class on her second Open Show outing, beaten only by her brother for Best Puppy. She also qualified for Crufts 2012 early on. At 10 months old, she went to her first Open Show without her brother and won Best Puppy and Gundog Puppy Group 4, followed by Best Puppy at her next one, then Best Puppy and Gundog Puppy Group 1 at the one after that.

At 11 months old she won Best Puppy at Birmingham National Championship Show, beating her brother who had won Best Puppy Dog. Thus she made Tenfield history, as the first ever Championship Show Best Puppy winner (in Goldens) for me. The icing on the cake was when she went on to win second in the Gundog Puppy Group with 24 high class puppies present and in front of the great and the good in the dog world in the Best in Show ring. The judge Anne Webster wrote "superb quality, so well balanced, appealing soft expression with an inquisitive eye, reachy over the neck into well laid shoulders, ample bone & stands so well on her tidy legs & feet. Moved with ease & necessary drive, excellent coat presentation."

After a frustrating wait of over 2 months, during which Kiwi had a season and grew a new coat, she gained the final point she needed for her Junior Warrant. I am a very proud breeder, as she joined her litter brother Chieftan who also gained his JW just two weeks before.

Kiwi has spent most of the past three years out of the show ring being a fantastic mum to two litters. A shame really, as she is far to good to stay at home, but during 2014 campaigning her kennel companion Tamu the Basenji to his Champion title was my priority. Two of Kiwi's children are with Dogs for Good. 'Viva' was accepted as a brood bitch having had exemplary health results and brother 'Vinnie' was partnered at a very early age.
From her second litter, Cilla joined the family and began her show career with Best Puppy at her first ever Open Show age 6 months.

Kiwi has been eye tested unaffected for all conditions including glaucoma (gonioscopy), DNA tested clear for GR_PRA1 and GR_PRA2, hips 5-5 and elbows 0-0.
