Pepper was still bouncing and accompanying the other dogs on long walks up until the age of 13½ years. Sadly a kidney infection then knocked her for six and her long walking days were over. She still bounced for her dinner and pottered around the garden for another winter. Sadly after a short illness, she was given sleep age 14 years. There will never be another Pepper, she made dreams come true and came into my life when I needed her most. Run free Pepper, my girl in a million. You have left a true legacy xxxx

****** CRUFTS 2013 - After only two outings since her Crufts 2010 win, Pepper returned to win 1st in her class ******

****** CRUFTS 2010 - Pepper wins the Open Bitch class, Bitch Challenge Certificate and Best Opposite Sex, only beaten for Best of Breed by a Norweigan marauder. ******

******* Pepper gained her Show Gundog Working Certificate on 27th January 2010 after a fantastic shooting season and earned her FULL Champion title. ******

******* My ever wagging and shining star Pepper has had a fantastic 2009. She won the Reserve Bitch CC from her first Post Graduate class at the North West Golden Retriever Club in April, followed by Res CCs at Three Counties and Birmingham Championship Shows. At Belfast Championship Show she won our first CC, followed two weeks later by the Bitch CC and Best in Show at the Northern Golden Retriever Association Championship Show in an entry of 304 Goldens. We only had to wait another week for her third and crowning CC along with Best of Breed in an entry of 214 Goldens at Midland Counties Championship Show ******

'Pepper' was the long awaited daughter from super mum Teals' third litter - the puppy that almost never was!

The husband I had planned for Teal wouldn't perform a mating, so after several phone calls we visited 'Digby' owned by Marlene Sillence ..... and we are so glad we did! Digby simply loved Teal and what a superb litter, so quiet, calm and laid back. I am very proud to own a 'Diglet'.

I was simply besotted by Pepper from the word go - she is such a poppet! She stole my heart right from the outset. As a puppy, her favourite hobby was paddling in the water bowl and getting covered in mud. Later she matured into the most beautiful young lady, with the sweetest of personalities, naughty but nice and oh so endearing. I just love Pepper to pieces, she is such a special girl.

Pepper qualified for Crufts winning 2nd in Minor Puppy bitch at her first Championship Show age 6 months. She carried on being consistently placed at Championship Shows and then came a flurry of red cards. Pepper achieved her JUNIOR WARRANT at 13 months, in spite of being lightly shown. She has also won Open Show Reserve Best of Breed, Best Puppy in Breed, Gundog Puppy Group places and Reserve Best Puppy in Show awards. During 2007, she won most of her Championship Show classes and also qualified for the semi-finals of the Kennel Club's Junior Warrant Winners competition.

After a year off to mature, Pepper had a spectacular 2009, winning eight Post Graduate classes and with them three Reserve Challenge Certificates and three Challenge Certificates, gaining her Show Champion title in just four weeks, along with two Best of Breeds in entries of 204 and 314 Goldens respectively. We were completely overwhelmed by the messages, cards, flowers, chocolates and other presents all congratulating Pepper on her title - she is a very popular girl with her ever wagging tail and bouncy nature.

Pepper joined the picking up team on the RA Shoot during the 2008/09 season, teaming up with 9 year old Rowan, while Reiver showed his son Tenfield Sea Patrol JW the ropes. What a fabulous team they made and Pepper proved she has the best nose and speediest legs of them all! She has earned high praise from the guns, following the Tenfield tradition.

Pepper is a most glamourous girl and is so soundly made, well known as a free standing, happy girl, wagging her tail and bouncing up and down. She is very eyecatching - to say the least!

You can read about her children, 'Kiwi' (Tenfield Sea The Stars JW), 'Chieftan' (Tenfield Commander in Chief JW), 'Kola' (Tenfield Pass The Pepper) and 'Dash' (Tenfield Dash Of Pepper JW) on this website.
