Sparkle is full sister to Rolo (Tenfield Dark And Stormy). Like her mum and granny, I just love her, love her, love her!

She started her show career winning second in Minor Puppy in a big class at South West Golden Retriever Club Championship Show, qualifying for Crufts first time out. She followed this winning more than one Championship Show Minor Puppy and Puppy class, being Best Puppy Bitch at Bournemouth Championship Show. At Open Shows she won Gundog Puppy Groups and Reserve Best of Breed awards and by the age of 13 months, she had amassed 17 Junior Warrant points ..... then we moved 300 miles from Wiltshire to County Durham and showing was put on hold ....

Sparkle runs like a Whippet and is another bird mad girl. I took her to a Gundog demonstration when young and she was fixated all the way through, given the opportunity she would be a fantastic working gundog. She is very focused and also very calm.

After a very long break, Sparkle attended some Open Shows in the spring of 2019 and at her very first one won the Open Bitch class and Reserve Best of Breed in an entry of over 50 Goldens. Her movement is just like her mum's, she storms around the ring and is a delight to show.
She soon gained her Stud Book number, but unfortunately my ill health put showing largely on hold for four years.

While I was grounded, Sparkle produced three fabulous litters to her housemate Rex. From the first I kept Rocket, who I always thought might be ny next Champion, but unfortunately Covid and further hospital stays for me stopped Rocket's show career in its tracks. From their second litter I kept the beautiful Shula, who had a meteoric puppy career and gained her Junior Warrant. Sparkle has other first time show owners who have her puppies, includung Crufts qualifiers, as well as Assistance and Therapy dogs making a difference to the lives of others.

In 2024 she reappeared as a veteran at the Northern Golden Retriever Association Championship Show and won a huge Veteran Bitch class with Champions present, even though not in her best coat and with a friend running her. She was then placed third in Veteran bitch at Blackpool Championship Show. In the summer she excelled at Gundog training classes, then more hospital treatment for me meant another long gap. Fast forward 2025 when I hope to get her out more, with the kind assistance of friends.

Sparkle is dark golden and has the same exemplary health tests as Rolo. Hips 4-5, Elbows 0, Gonioscopy (Glaucoma tested) clear, GPRA 1&2 Hereditary Clear, Heart tested clear.
