One black and white bitch puppy left in a strong litter of black/liver and white puppies. The little lady that is left is beautifully marked, heavily marked being predominantly black with flashy white legs and tip to her 1/3 docked tail she will look fantastic working. She has a correct scissor bite and strong well proportioned outline. More of a traditional ESS type, heavier in coat and she will be well feathered. Already showing hunting action and would be a talented worker or an active pet. She can be seen with her mother and grandfather. Twist and Spider both have solid coloured heads and are heavily marked they are expected to produce similar puppies.
The dam Twist is our own working bitch and during the season she is invaluable, she is a hard hunter and has impressive stamina, her determination and heart take over and she will hunt so unrelentingly during a drive you sometimes wonder if she’ll come out the gorse with her ears still intact! This being said she is very biddable and was lots of fun to train…you almost feel she understands English and knows exactly what you want and performs it quickly but never with an attitude. She does anticipate but is ever obedient, a real star.
She competed at her first working test aged just 8 months old and after this impressed further when at 1 year old we held our own open retriever trial for the Three Ts gundog club, she flushed birds continuously over the two day trial and was as steady as a rock, hunting close and never running in. Mature beyond her years she knows her job and never disappoints, she is completely silent both in her work and at home, never whining or barking.
She is a lovely natured girl who loves a cuddle and would have made a lovely pet in the right active home, for example she loves coming out with us nature spotting on bike rides.
Greenfox Pike is a liver and white working dog who we chose for Twist because of his handsome looks, impressive pedigree and the fact he matches her in his stylish hunting and eager retrieving while still remaining trainable and biddable. his owner is Thorneyash Gundogs and he was certainly worth going the extra mile for, as well as his drive and determination in the field he is a lovely gentleman who impressed us with his honest and sweet nature.
These puppies will be suited to working homes or active pet homes, all will be well socialised, brought up in a home environment and come microchipped and vaccinated and with all the relevant paper work relating to health tests and KC registration, puppies will be vet checked and legally docked, certificates for both will be provided. Mother and grandfather (WhirlwindWhaup) can be seen, viewings at any stage are welcomed and encouraged, we love showing people our dogs.
