Gracie and Dennis will no doubt produce puppies with strong looks and biddable natures.
Their pedigrees do boast field trial champions however the most important thing about this pairing was to achieve confident characters with obliging natures that make training, either for field or home, a pleasure.
This will be Gracies third and final litter, and although this is not a repeat mating we have retained bitch puppies from Gracie who can be seen at our home when you visit. We also will be retaining a puppy ourselves from this litter. Gracie has strong clean legs and take’s obstacles in her stride, this is the first time her pregnancy has coincided with a shoot season and she has impressively only just slowed down (day 53!!) on her retrieves. She is a dark fox red shade of yellow shade and as she’s been put to a dark dog all puppies will follow suit.
Gracies personality is stand out, friendly without being overbearing she’s happy to lie by your feet and not be over demanding. I have kept in touch with all previous puppy owners and they all say how relaxed and easy going their Gracie puppies are. Gracie has developed an uncanny ability to know exactly where you want you want her to do in the field and in the house she knows exactly where she won’t get in the way but she’s alway there to offer support, that support is coming in handy underneath the babies high-chair!!
Dennis too is a real gentleman, you can tell just by looking at him that he’s a soft hearted boy with kind dark eyes. He is primarily a working dog and this is evident as soon as you look at him, incredible structure built for day after day of work. He is athletic but still has a very obvious, traditional heavy Labrador look to him, there is no sacrifice to his conformation made to achieve his speed and agility. Dennis has worked 40 days this season and has proved to absolutely invaluable in the picking up team with his owner.
Both dogs are extensively health tested puppies will be hereditary clear for the following diseases that Labrador Retriever's are slightly more prone too.

Both Gracie and Dennis have excellent hip scores tested by the BVA

They both have 0/0 elbows tested by the BVA which is the best score possible.
Dennis had his eyes tested unaffected by the BVA/KC/ISDS scheme in 2022. Gracie also tested under the same scheme by a qualified veterinarian in 2020 also unaffected.
We have bred this litter in the knowledge that we are giving our puppies the absolute best start in health, temperament and looks so they really stand out from the crowd.
