A strong litter of six black dog puppies, expected to grow into weighty, well boned adults.
Six dog puppies (no bitches) who will be ready to go to their new homes on the 22nd of August after a vet check, microchips and their first vaccine, They’ll also be kennel club registered, including a five generation pedigree.
These puppies are all even in size and weight and now (at 5 weeks old) individual personalities are starting to develop.
All six of the puppies are very people orientated, already they are starting to look to bond with me rather than their litter mates and will follow close by for mini walks around the farm, they have been introduced to a variety of situations and are unfazed and boldly approach every scenario.
These puppies were bred with trainability in mind and as such they are already very responsive to whistles and clicks. They have begun toilet training on the grass and so far have proven to instinctively want to keep their beds very clean.
These puppies were introduced to early scent training and over the next couple of weeks I will start some fun retrieving games.
Both sire and dam are fully health tested including up to date clear BVA eye exams and complete DNA. Both have the best possible elbow scores and extremely good hip results, the sire being 0/0.

Dam, Glendream Amazing Grace of Delphox is a gundog/companion here at Delphox Gundogs, she has produced puppies that have been exported across to Europe and America and who have gone on to have successful gundog careers, we only breed to retain puppies to train to a high standard as gundogs and highly trained pets and therefore responsiveness and an eagerness to learn are extremely important traits in our puppies.
Gracie is a competent gundog and has competed in tests and enjoys scurries, she picks up with us on our own shoot here in the Scottish Borders, she is an able and confident retriever with a bold jump, she also excels in the water and is completely at home swimming in even the fastest of rivers.
Gracie is kind and gentle and I’ve never heard her bark as she treats every stranger, be it dog or person, with a wagging tail and a little smile.
Timber the sire Lynesykes Snipe is owned by Fosterwold Gundogs in Yorkshire, he first caught my eye because of his physical power and size equalled with his perfect hip and elbow score… a quadruple 0, which is pretty unheard of but especially so in the more weighty black dogs. I have also seen Timber work on some impressive retrieves that wouldn’t look out of place at an open field trial, despite his drive and pacy hunting ability he has a soft mouth and a gentle nature, all these attributes combined make him a perfect work companion. Timbers pedigree boasts 42 FTCH/FTW, his pedigree shows how much attention has gone into his breeding and that can’t go understated

The home that would suit these puppies would be a busy family home with outdoors high on the agenda or an owner who was keen to train their puppy to a high standard as a working dog in any of the disciplines that they would undoubtedly excel in, such as tests, trials, scent work or obedience.
Although these puppies have been bred with a role in mind their parents gentle and quiet nature mean they would be ideal family companions, eager to please but also the important off switch that means they can go from the park or beach to a pub garden without being phased.
An early introduction to other dogs, cats and poultry mean with continued socialisation they will be calm and confident in any setting.
