Sunflicker Gundogs is a five star council licensed dog breeder (Durham County Council Licence Number DCC/ALA/100762). As a Kennel Club Assured Breeder with many years of experience, I have bred golden retrievers and flat-coated retrievers, and previously border collies, over a lifetime of dog ownership. I am passionate about my dogs, with the welfare of my dogs and puppies central to my life.

I am delighted to announce that our gorgeous second generation, liver girl, Olive (Sunflicker Nik Nak) has given birth to one exceptional liver girl! She has decided on quality over quantity, and this little girl is a beautiful example of the breed. She is big and strong, healthy and full of mischief, just adorable! Little Whizzpop (so nicknamed due to her conception under a sky full of fireworks on Bonfire Night!) has a delightful temperament and a rich, dark chocolate coloured coat, as a good liver flat coat should.

Her sire is Bruno (Just More Or Less Optimus Canis of Plumacre). He is a stunningly handsome black boy who is so friendly and eager to please. Both sides of the pedigree include numerous show kennels and famous names such as Almanza (the Swedish kennel which produced the Crufts 2022 Best in Show winner Baxer, great grandfather to this puppy.) The pedigree of this litter contains no fewer than 29 champions, so, together with the additional excellent working kennels on her dam’s side, you can be assured of the quality of this baby.

At Sunflicker Gundogs, health testing is of paramount importance, and all of our girls are extensively screened for conditions relevant to their breed. The puppy’s sire and dam are health tested achieving gonioscopy grade 0, clear eyes, and excellent, extremely low hip scores (Bruno has incredible 0;0 hips) and 0;0 elbows.

Olive is an incredibly beautiful girl with striking looks, a shiny, dark liver coat, correct hazel eye colour, intelligence and a kind, biddable temperament. She is lots of fun, eager to please and extremely affectionate. She lives as an adored pet in our busy family home with my other dogs and animals.

This little puppy will be eight weeks old and ready to leave us on 3rd March. She will grow up to become a highly intelligent, gentle, loyal and energetic dog - perfect for an active family. She is being reared in bespoke facilities in the warmth of our family home, handled frequently each day with a programme of socialisation, and will be accustomed to all sorts of people, animals and household noises. She is Kennel Club registered with a five-generation pedigree plus original paperwork. All of our puppies undergo a programme of worming and will be veterinary health checked with first vaccination given. They are microchipped, and come with an extensive puppy pack, including food, a toy, smelly blanket, a training guide, book and several weeks' free KC insurance. In addition, as an affiliate breeder to Adolescent Dogs Training Academy, all Sunflicker owners enjoy three months of free membership to the Academy to support that all important first stage of dog ownership.
