I am a highly experienced, small family breeder of premium quality working strain golden retrievers and dual purpose flat-coated retrievers from excellent breedlines. All of our dogs are rigorously health tested according to and in excess of the British Veterinary Association and Kennel Club recommendations for their breed, achieving excellent results.

Our girls are very much part of the family, our only occupation, and live in our home with us full time, enjoying specially designed facilities within it. All Sunflicker puppies are, similarly, brought up in the centre of our family home where they can be socialised and given our full attention until they leave for their forever homes. Unlike most working lines breeders, we do not have outside kennels.

Puppies are very carefully bred after extensive research into the most suitable stud dog who will enhance the quality of the litter and my lines, in terms of looks, conformation, health and temperament. My golden retriever puppies are the true, traditional rich gold to dark gold in colour. My litters of flat-coated retrievers are a mix of blacks and livers.

Although gundog breeders, we do not work our dogs ourselves, nor are our puppies bred specifically for the show ring or gundog roles. Instead, we, at Sunflicker, are proud to say that our primary aim is to produce perfect, healthy family pets of excellent temperament. This, we feel, should be the first priority of a good breeder.

Our golden retrievers have a therapy dog background and our puppies have gone on to successfully fulfil a variety of roles, including therapy work, gundog training for working in the field, and being competent agility dogs.

Flat-coated retrievers and golden retrievers are the ideal companions for an active family who has time to give them plenty of exercise and stimulation, attention and love.

As a prospective owner you get regular extremely informative pup dates watching the puppys grow and their personality s develop.
Once you get your puppy home she available to offer any help or advice you may need. At any stage in your dogs life should your circumstances change she will take the dog back.How many breeders offer this.
