Olive is our youngest member of the Sunflicker 'pack'. She is out of Magic, our gorgeous black flat-coated retriever and sired by the grandson of Crufts Best in Show, Almanza Backseat Driver.

Olive has a wonderful, loving temperament and has been easy to train, being kind, intelligent and biddable. My dream was always to produce a perfect liver bitch puppy from Magic, with the correct conformation, that characteristic, beautiful profile and delightful personality typical of the breed. On top of that, this girl has the rich dark liver coat and the correct hazel-brown coloured eyes (avoiding the ghost look) that are desired in a liver flat-coat; sadly many liver lines now are diluted, producing puppies with pale eyes and straw-coloured feathering.

Olive has lived up to everything I wanted and is a much loved member of the family. We at Sunflicker are excited to have our first litter from Olive in the coming months.
