I am also a Kennel Club Assured Breeder with many years of experience, having bred golden retrievers and flat-coated retrievers, and previously border collies, over a lifetime of dog ownership. I am passionate about my dogs, with the welfare of my dogs and puppies central to my life.
I am delighted to announce that our gorgeous, second generation goldie girl, Secret (Sunflicker Spring’s Secret) is pregnant and due her litter at the end of July. The sire of the litter is the well known Brinsworthy Denman of Jalk (Bow). The pedigree of this litter contains superb, established working lines featuring many famous, successful kennels. Sunflicker golden retriever puppies are the sought after, dark gold, typical of the traditional working lines.
Both parents are health tested, with excellent, low, hip scores and 0:0 elbows. Bow has an additional large number of extra DNA health tests, all with excellent results and ensuring that these puppies will not inherit any of the conditions listed. Secret has clear eyes and gonioscopy Grade 0 which is perfect.
Secret is an incredibly beautiful girl with stunning looks, a shiny, dark gold, mirror shine coat, intelligence and a kind, biddable temperament. She is lots of fun, bouncy and playful. Secret was bred by myself and was the pick of many exceptional bitch puppies; she has more than lived up to expectations being my pride and joy. She lives as an adored pet in our busy family home with my children, other dogs and animals.
Bow is an especially eye-catching working dog with a rich, deep russet gold coat and perfect conformation and movement as expected of the working lines. This litter is long planned and awaited at Sunflicker. The puppies will grow up to become highly intelligent, gentle, loyal and energetic dogs - perfect for an active family. They will be reared in bespoke facilities in the warmth of our family home, handled on a daily basis with a programme of socialisation, and will be accustomed to children, other animals and household noises. They will be KC registered with a five generation pedigree plus original certificate and paperwork. Each puppy will undergo a programme of worming and will of course be microchipped. Our puppies come with an extensive puppy pack, including food, a toy, smelly blanket, a training guide, book and five weeks' free insurance.
In addition, as experienced dog owners and breeders, Sunflicker Gundogs offer and provide lifetime support and advice if needed. I am proud that my owners always say how involved they felt in their puppy’s progress from the beginning, and we have many, many, happy, healthy puppies all over Britain about whom we love to receive their regular updates!
