This is a repeat mating between Olie & Deme. We will be keeping a pup from this litter, not to replace Willow, as that is impossible, but to continue this lovely line. After reading the pup page, do click on the links on the left hand side of this page to see the girls' own pages.
Pups, 8 in total, were a day early and whilst the labour was long, delivery was very easy & Deme is coping beautifully. Needless to say we think they are all stunning, yet amazed by the fact we have 3 very pale, as we usually have "more colour than not",
Always happy to talk to potential forever homes, we have made our best & closest friendships through people who have our pups, which is lovely & means we keep in touch & the dog family enjoy seeing each other too. The pups, both past & present mean a massive amount to us & we love hearing from their families, hopefully this tells you a lot about us!
14/05/2011 The pups are now enjoying readybrek, eating it, swimming in it but best of all getting it all over their faces & smearing it over each other. Spice (grand ma) is delighted as she is definitely in charge of the washing now & it does make a nice change from what she has been washing! The games are very amusing & it is hard to get anything done when they are awake & playing. They are taking no notice of the washing machine or the crash of sauce pans & other house hold noises, which is a great start to the socialisation which will set them up for life. Our improvement on socialisation for this litter has been to bang balloons, to help get them used to bangs! 1 pup jumped the first time, but after that they just all sat there and watched me.
Not including the one we will keep, 3 of these pups are going to live with other Goldies bed by us, which is lovely especially as all 3 owners are brilliant at keeping in touch & meeting up for walks
We have had our first 2 visitors, everyone very pleased to meet each other (Both Spice & Deme are convinced these visitors come to see them!) The girls are very good ambassadors for our pups, being very "in your face" & loving attention
It is very bitter sweet that this litter, at 5 weeks, weigh what my little orphans did at 8 weeks, I know some of this is due to this being a very strong litter, but even so. Holding on to the thought that all 4 of Willow's sons are living normal ,happy, healthy lives & showing no ill effects for the disaster that surrounded their birth. All of this litter have in some way been named in memory of Willow, especially Molly, whose pedigree name holds as much of her big sister's pedigree name as the KC would permit. Molly is not expected to replace Willow, but going back to having 3 dogs will hopefully allow some healing. Many thanks to Margaret, not just for letting me use the stunning Olie again, but for your support & friendship throughout.....and for helping me pick Molly.
