Sometimes you just have to keep one, despite all knowledge and better judgement!! The whole litter shone in personality and temperament and have proven, by accounts to be healthy, trainable and easy in all ways.



Nugget is no different. As a tiny puppy she tried very very hard to die on me and I was having none of it. We will never know what made her so poorly, or how she managed to defy the odds when she was so little. But she did and I pathetically ADORE her.

Clever, exceptionally so (personally I believe she can read books and studies regularly in her spare time) trainable (mostly I think she trains herself) and the gentlest and sweetest, funniest little thing you could ever wish for. And loyal beyond all measure with absolutely the BEST RECALL I have ever seen in any WHD –ever.... at least so far!!



In type, there is actually an awful lot to like about her and I certainly don’t regret keeping her. Very good front limbs and tight, big, strong feet. An outstandingly good and easy coat. Correct dentition. Such a very pretty face. Good hind limb angulation. Sound on the move. Good length of neck, Good fore chest.

Sadly...It all just doesn't gel to make as correct a complete picture as it could. If you’re thinking bang on the breed standard, which we sort of need too...don’t we?! But I am happy to admit that. And I’m keeping her.

Despite being less than perfect... Who is anyway? She has picked up her fair share of ribbons, the outshiner so far...being 1st @ WELKS 2024 in yearling. And she is still maturing.. time will tell!



We are working towards our GOLD in Good Citizen and she is probably the happiest little girl in the world.
