We are the very proud owners of 8 Wire Haired Dachshunds!! 7 girls and 1 boy.

Our foundation bitches were imported as we were unable to find suitable registered dogs available here in the UK.

Since becoming assured and licensed we have continued the back screening we started with Alice and Bilbao. Delighted that all the dogs X rayed so far have come back with excellent gradings.

Although not compulsory for the breed, we are also routinely heart testing our dogs using Cardiology Specialist Vicky Ironside and screening eyes under the BVA scheme with Paul McPherson.

We have become totally captivated by these charming, intelligent, cheeky, vivacious and loving little big dogs.

Our hopes for the future are to continue to show and breed WHDs capable of both working hard and doing well in the ring. But of course, also to make wonderful, trainable, pets too!

The selection of dogs we now own, both imported and home bred are all total individuals, some are workers, some - not so much! All have good, sound, balanced, conformation and movement with wonderful temperaments. We are proud also, to have FIVE GENERATIONS under one roof!

We try very hard to keep close to the Breed Standard, aiming to have dogs of correct size, weight and proportions - with health, functionality, movement, strength and capability being paramount…. also trying hard to stay true to type and standard. We are very proud of our pack.

The dogs we have chosen to use over the last few years have imparted some of their lovely features, in addition their outstanding temperaments have passed on to our puppies.

We are now very happy to see that all our litters by Hungarian imported Kissdachs Bilbao have grown into wonderful adults. Living mostly in pet homes and adored, but also winning accolades in the show ring with lovely critiques.

We have recently had puppies on the ground by Kissdachs Cuba Libre and Kissdachs Freddie Mercury - fabulous imported males from Henrietta Kiss. And fully health tested Spruce, Sunsong Dare to Dream. Their babies are turning out to be wonderful as pets, workers and show dogs.

All our dogs live in the home and are integrated into daily life. Puppies are socialised and handled as soon as mum is ready and happy. By us from day 1. We have no residential kennels and although all dogs are used to crates for safety and travel they are rarely locked in at home for more than an hour.

Our dogs are busy, active, fit and playful - often going out on the moors and round the woodlands, covering challenging terrain and some considerable miles without difficulty.

I’m very excited for 2025/26. Hoping to do more with my dogs, get my level
3/4 in canine care, behaviour and training started (and finished) and start refreshing my professional grooming skills.

I have now got Nugget through GOLD in her Good Citizen training - Up and coming behind her will be new baby on the block Barbie who starts puppy class next week!

We are also very lucky to have done well in the show ring to date.

Bramalodge Betsy Button taking best bitch puppy at Crufts 2018. Following which she took 2 reserve CC's and won Best Special Beginner at The Dachshund Club 2019.

We were then delighted again at CRUFTS 2020 with Bramalodge Billie Jean taking 3rds on both her puppy class and a very strong junior bitch class at under 12 months.

We attended Crufts with Diva in 2022 and bagged a good 2nd in Junior. But 2023 was another year off for us with girls having pups.

Present and correct at Crufts 2024 we are over the moon to have had Freddy take 1st place in Yearling Dog. Twix then stood a very strong 3rd in her post Graduate Class - against some very tough competition. Finally Pancake got VHC in Junior having been shortlisted for a final review... where she proceeded to be a massive FIDGET!!! :)

In 2025 the dogs did me proud again, taking a green and a yellow card. We have qualified nearly everyone for 2026 already and have booked the caravan spot well in advance! Its all about the holiday!

If you are interested in meeting our dogs and us, or in future litters please give me a call, drop me an email or find us on , , or for more information.

*We would like to add a big thank you and good luck to all the wonderful families who have given new homes to our puppies so far.

It is so very kind of them all to keep us updated with progress and we love to see them and watch them as the grow up.

Also to friends and family for support and the judges who continue to think highly of the dogs I take in the ring*
