A delight to train from the very beginning, excelling in gundog training. Being ever willing to please, Tor has been an extremely quick learner. At 21 months Tor is able to retrieve from great distances and reliably delivers tenderly to hand. He is confident in the water and can accelerate at speed on land when sent. He shone out at his first shoot, keen but calm and always focused. He has now completed a second year out picking up and has been praised for his steadiness. He is so reliable off lead even when young dear are flushed out of undergrowth and power on past him.

Tor has a truly deep golden sleek coat, which is neither red nor mahogany, as stated in the breed standard. He is a true family dog, friends with all. He happily allows a little human, of a similar age to him, lead him from her buggy! Tor is delighted to see family members preparing for running in the countryside and is instantly by their sides ready to join in; they too, can totally trust him off lead.
His gentle nature makes for a superb temperament. He has done himself proud at local shows in 2023, winning most beautiful eyes twice (including a class of 47!). He has rosettes for puppy classes, best mover, best working and one of his proudest, 4th in the Gundog Scurry, absolutely no mistakes! In 2024, he upped his game to come 2nd in the Gundog Scurry by just one second without a single mistake. What will 2025 bring?

Now health tested, he is available to health tested girls. Girls are welcome to visit, get to know the area and meet Tor prior to mating. We are experienced breeders, having belonged to the assured breeders scheme before it closed. We are more than happy to share experiences and support you throughout the breeding process.
