Dram is an IRWS from Irish import parents, bred to primarily to work but currently dabbling in the show world. At his first Championship Show he won BPIB qualifying him for Crufts 2023. He was placed 2nd at Crufts 2024, automaically qualifying him for Crufts 2025. He has proven himself to be a fantastic game finder during the Grouse counts and is even a solid retriever durong the shooting seaspn. He is an important element in the gene pool of this vulnerable native breed being part of the Irish Setter outcross programme set out by the IKC.

In October 2024 Dram took part in one of the Irish Red and White Setter Clubs training days in North Yorkshire, to my absolute delight he was put forward to compete for Best IRWS and Most Promising Youngser and promptly won both! To say I was pleased was an understatement, with dram gaining lots of positive comments from the trainers and fellow attendees.

Dram continues his field training with a view to attending some field trials at some point.
