Piper arrived at Bonisla in 2019 from Emma Walker of Nordicwalker Gundogs. She has a heavier type of wire coat with very pleasing conformation, showing excellent reach and drive. She is very much a live wire and turned out to be very different in temperament to Drummer. Her puppy show career was slow going due to the Covid pandemic, but she has qualified for Crufts every year since 2021. I'm also super lazy when it comes to coat stripping and as such Piper is only lightly shown! 🤣

She is very much at home in the working field, however, and has become a valued member of our Grouse counting team. Since Drummer's passing she has become lead dog and is proving to be a super reliable pointer with a fantastic nose for pricked game on both the Grouse and Pheasant shoots. If it's there, Piper will find it! She gained a good grading at a Grouse pointing test in 2021 and is lovely dog to work, with a super biddable temperament.

She is DNA tested for HUU, DM and EIC, hip and elbow scored and had a clear eye certificate in 2024. Piper had a litter of 8 late 2021/early 2022 and proved to be a fabulous Mother. One of her Daughters remained here and she is also showing excellent promise in the working field.

Piper gained her studbook number at Darlington Championship Show in 2024 by gaining 1st in her Limit Class.

Piper will hopefully have her 2nd and final litter early 2025.
