Isla is now retired from all things working and showing, but is still enjoying her life of being boss and a general menace about the house. Her entire life revolves around eating (know that feeling!), but when not eating she still enjoys long walks and helps out on the occasional grouse count, often with a spot of hare coursing thrown in for good measure.

Isla was unretired from showing very briefly at 9 years of age for one final show day at Crufts in 2016. To my huge delight we came 1st in the BASC Working English Springer Spaniel Bitch class under well renowned judge Vicky Payne and were awarded the Sporting Shooter Trophy. What an absolute dream come true and a day I will never forget!

Isla kept me on my toes from the moment she set foot in my home and I wouldn't have it any other way. She left me in January 2021 passing away peacefully at home with me by her side. She is sorely missed to this very day.
