I have owned Golden Retrievers since 1981. I had always wanted to own a gun dog and while studying veterinary medicine at university I spent a lot of time thinking about which type of gun dog to choose. During my first months as a vet in practice I realised that my favourite patients were Golden Retrievers so my choice was made!
Since then I have owned eight golden retrievers and have loved them all dearly.
