Boo and Bracken are due to have their first litter of puppies together in early March. The waiting list is now open.
Puppies will be ready to begin their new lives around the 26th of April but this will be confirmed after the Whelping takes place.
The puppies will be very well bred and are of working stock but they are primarily a big part of our families. Boo lives in the home and mostly sleeps in a kennel with her family members at night. She comes to work with me while Bracken goes to work most days with his owner and sleeps in a kennel at night. Other family members can be viewed at our home and references and photos of previous litters are available from previous owners.
These puppies will suit working or active homes and are especially bred for their temperament, biddable nature and size.
Mum can be seen with her litter and Dad Bracken can be seen on an appointment basis as he lives 20 minutes down the road from our family home.
Both Boo and Bracken are very biddable with kind temperaments. They have strong heads and chests and work on several shoots during the season. Boo loves days away by the sea and both dogs are keen water lovers. Both dogs are happy to be active but equally at home lazing on the sofa or near the Rayburn/woodburner.
Both parents are health tested and puppies will have a health check with the vets, be fully wormed, micro-chipped, KC registered with documents, five week KC insurance, a teddy and blanket to go home with and have a puppy pack inc first few days meals with a meal planner before leaving to begin their new lives. Each puppy will also start crate training to help it adjust to it's new home and support is offered to the new owner regarding crate training.
Puppies do not leave our home until I am satisfied they are 100 percent healthy. The new owners are given a contract and advice sheet to read through before coming to view their prospective puppy and an informal chat is conducted on the phone before viewings from 5 weeks of age can be offered.
The security of our puppies and dogs is paramount to us and we have security systems in place. The puppies are never left untended.
Puppies will be born at the end of Feb beginning of March. They will be a mixed litter but at this stage we don't know how many will be Fox, Yellow or Black. We have a waiting list and once the puppies are born and everything settles the prospective owners will be notified and given the opportunity to give a £500 deposit on their first viewing. The new owners are then put onto a list for choosing their desired puppies colour, male or female preferences and this is on a first come first served basis. Refunds are given if something untoward goes wrong at our end but not given if the prospective owner changes their mind. A lot of physical and emotional work goes into finding the right home for each puppy.
Puppies will be brought up in our family home initially then they are moved to a kennel outside where they are free to roam our garden getting used to all the sights and sounds a family home can offer. They are introduced to our other dogs and taken out on jollies in our vehicle to climatise them to traveling helping them to adjust ready for the home journey. They have lots of interaction with our son and his friends and are introduced to as many people as possible. It is recommended the puppies have bonding sessions with their new owners as many times as is possible to make the home coming transition less stressful.
A comprehensive advice sheet is given for new owners to read through before puppy leaves our home along with reading and signing a contract to help protect puppy, new owner and myself.
I do not start the puppies on inoculations as different vets use different vaccines. I will arrange the first set of injections if your vet uses a compatible vaccine with my practice but this cost is incurred by the new owner. If a puppy starts a vaccine with my practice and the practice the puppy will be registered with doesn't have a compatible vaccine this results in the puppy unnecessarily starting its first set of vaccines again causing more distress and unnecessary costs to the new owner. I advise new owners to book an appointment 2 days after puppy has settled into its new home and have a health check etc............more details are attached to my recommendations and contract sheets.
I am happy to hold onto a puppy and complete its vaccinations should the new owner go on holiday, move home etc but this will incur a cost for food and vaccinations. My vet uses Nobivac so a compatible vaccine will need to be found if you wish to start vaccinations........puppies will leave our home at 8 weeks of age and vaccines do not start until 8 weeks and the puppy will not be covered until vaccinations are complete.
Many of the owners over the years have kept in touch and we enjoy seeing how everyone is progressing with their new families and making a new life for themselves. Previous owners have often had another puppy from us two or four years later as I do not sell more than one puppy to a person out of a litter at any time.
All my girls have had a two year gap between litters to make sure they are fit and healthy and it is the right time for us to bring a litter into the world. To date none of my bitches have had more than 3 litters during their life time as my priority is to keep them happy and healthy.
I strongly recommend from the start the new puppy is not overexercised, allowed to jump off raised surfaces and fed a well balanced diet. Further details are in my advice sheet and recommendations and contract. It is advisable owners refer to the Kennel Club website regarding the above.
If you feel my dogs and puppies sound like the type of dog you would like in your lives and you feel you can offer the best home these puppies deserve please e-mail or phone for an informal chat.
These puppies are very precious to us and as a result the new owners will need to tick all the boxes so please do not be offended by all the questions we ask you.
We look forward to hearing from you.
