At just 10 months old, Herz made the long journey from Ozren Badza's showing/working kennel in Belgrade, Serbia where he was born, to live here permanently in North Yorkshire.

I had spent a few years talking to & getting to know two outstanding breeders in Serbia, learning about their bloodlines & following their successes in showing, working & training. I knew immediately that I wanted to go ahead with importing a pup when I saw Herz for the first time, as I was already familiar with most of his ancestors through several generations back & he was everything I was looking for in a GSP.

He has the most amazing easy-going temperament & settled in so quickly here with my other dogs. He's a very fast learner too, except for one thing - he's a terrible thief. He wants to pick up everything he sees around the house, regardless of size, carry it out in the garden & trot around with head held high looking very pleased with himself!

Now 3 years old, Herz is 25 inches tall to the withers, so top of the UK breed standard in height for a male GSP.

He has been tested clear of brucella.
