Very sadly Poppy went to rainbow bridge in December 2022, she was a good age at 15. We miss her desperately and her wonderful character and happy go lucky attitude to life, but she left us a wonderful legacy.

Poppy was our foundation bitch and a much loved member of our family, she loved everybody - human and canine, she was calm, biddable, intelligent, and so very wise, with brilliant sense of humour. She had a fascination for small things and would even lick day old chicks!

She had the typical Labrador laid back attitude to life, but also she just loved to please whether it be obedience, retrieving, agility, or anything you fancy, she would happily have a go. One of her favourite games was fetching a named toy, or Mum or Dad's slippers on command.

Poppy loved being a mum and produced three litters of lovely puppies who made super family dogs. Several of her pups went on to be assistance dogs helping their disabled owners in their daily lives. Several, grandchildren and great grandchildren are now doing the same.

We have several of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and now a great great granddaughter. Poppy loved her canine family and was calmly but firmly in charge of our little pack, gently reprimanding any naughty behaviour with a twinkle in her eye, and they all adored her.
