We currently work on two local shoots and one further afield. He is steady and fast to retrieve, with a very gentle mouth. He can take direction but can also sweep through wooded areas, and uses his nose well, especially in wind, to be as effective as possible in retrieving found game.

We haven't attended any working tests just due to lack of time, but continue to keep up training on various training days where he is trustworthy and focused within a group setting.

Clarke also competes in Heelwork to Music, his movement is graceful but powerful, flowing around the ring in partnership.

He won his first time in the ring, placing second on his next outing, taking him up the classes into Intermediate where he has held his own in the top placings, and also won.
One more win to move up to the advanced level.

He has also had some time in the show ring, qualifying for and showing at Crufts 2024

He is a joy to live with, alongside his cousin Kahoku Endeavour from Ayrewyne, and his Uncle Casblaidd Valdoonian at Ayrewyne, our two Spaniels and Golden Retriever and is frequently found upside down asleep, taking a break from stealing underwear!
