Heath approaches life with joy and enthusiasm daily. His temperament with people, dogs and livestock is impeccable, he can be taken anywhere.

We currently work weekly on 3 shoots. He tackles cover and obstacles with ease, marks brilliantly and rarely needs direction for me, although he can take it if needed. He picks runners cleanly and efficiently.

He has a great nose, naturally uses the wind to his advantage and holds an area nicely. He is a rocket out of the starting blocks and covers ground with ease, both on the way out to and on the way back from a retrieve.

He swims like an otter and is required to tackle a river with current on one shoot.

He has passed his WGC on dummies and game, won a ND/NH Retriever Test and passed all three of his Novice Retriever Assessments with NEFRA first time.

He competes in Heelwork to Music, gaining his "Ex" titles in Novice and then Intermediate classes in under 10 shows, moving him up to working at Advanced level

He competed in the Crufts Heelwork to Music semi finals in January 2024, we hope to qualify again for 2025.

His action while working is glorious, powering from a strong back end, stretching and elevating an extended trot throughout the entire routine, 4min in total. Athleticism and stamina are very apparent.

He has been part of the Heelwork to Music demonstration team at Crufts for 5 years, combining his temperament, trainability and work ethic to demonstrate routines, including the Main Arena on Live TV.

He loves to play, train and work, and would do so all day if I let him. He does however have an off switch when in the house, and can usually be found sleeping upside down totally relaxed with his Spaniel housemates.
