We are thrilled to announce that Margot’s litter were born on 1st October 21. Due to a change in circumstances of a potential owner a bitch has become available.
We chose Tagg (Amilone Jabberwocky By Tannadice) a calm, gentle and good-looking boy to sire the litter!
Margot has a hip score of 5:7 an elbow grade of 0:0 and a clear eye certificate under the KC/BVA scheme (date of last examination June 2021) – see results of health tests above. She is also "clear by inheritance" for the eye conditions GR_PRA1 & 2. Tagg's last eye examination was in November 2020, and he has also been DNA tested Clear for GR_PRA 1 & 2 which means his and Margot's puppies will be "clear by inheritance" for these conditions. Tagg has a hip score of 4:4 and an elbow grade of 0:0.
The puppies will be raised indoors with controlled access to an area of our garden from approximately 4½ weeks (weather permitting), and can be seen with their mother. Only in very exceptional circumstances do we allow visitors before the puppies are 5 weeks old.
Further information about Margot can be found on her own page. Our puppies always have their KC registrations endorsed "progeny not eligible for registration" and "not eligible for the issue of an export pedigree" – we never send puppies to homes overseas even if we already know the enquirers.
Wherever possible, we look for homes with previous experience of dogs, ideally Golden Retrievers, so if you are interested in the possibility of a puppy from Margot and Tagg's litter, please contact us (click on "Message my Breeder" icon below to do this via the UK Champdogs mail system), providing information about you and your family circumstances, work commitments, previous experience of dogs, etc. We make an initial shortlist from the information provided at this stage, and then ask for further details when the puppies have arrived and we know how many of each sex might be available. For us, it's never been a case of "first come, first served" when finding the right permanent, loving homes for our precious puppies.
