Ted has been very infrequently shown but has enjoyed some good results including first places in limit and open classes. He's SLEM hereditary clear and was BVA/KC eye tested clear in 2024.
Home bred from our female Masher he is from the very last litter produced by Badgerbeck Felix, a litter of 6 when he was 12 years old! Ted contains some strong longevity genes on both sides with his sire Felix working on top until 15 and underground until 13 and Masher's mother working on top until 14 and even managed a sneaky accidental underground encounter of over 2 hours. Felix and Milly are fast approaching their 17th and 16th birthdays respectively and still sharp minded and active.
Ted is a strong headed male of medium size and bone, his jaw is deep and he has large teeth, he's easily spanned and has a good harsh coat and very thick pelt. Ted is grizzle and tan but he appears red as he hasn't much dark hair in his coat, he doesn't carry the blue and tan gene.
Ted is a determined worker but not reckless and is very vocal, he has an excellent nose. He's not dog aggressive or reactive when out working but will let us know if there's anyone near the property.
