Tarfu is the result of combining my outstanding dual working and exhibition dog Fubar (Ch.Badgerbeck Uncle Fester MFH cert.) with the beautiful female Ch.Ploughdown Percephone, bred by Mr & Mrs Armstrong in Ireland and owned and shown by Claire Spencer.
He's SLEM hereditary clear and was recently BVA/KC eye tested clear (28/03/24)
He was slower to enter to work than I'm used to (2 years) but once the penny dropped there was no turning back and he became an important member of the team. He has excellent nose and is also very determined and persistent, if he thinks his quarry is there he will continue to search for it until found or he's satisfied it's not there.
What makes him special is his "off switch" which means he can be a worker, a show dog or a companion cuddling up on the sofa depending on the situation. He's got a lovely temperament with zero dog aggression or reactivity and lives in a large group of which he's one of 3 entire males (we put them in opposite sex pairs when we go out) and like all of mine is taught to ignore dogs encountered on walks that we don't know well personally. He regularly joins my partner when he's "dog walking" and happily romps with cockerpoos, various doodles, labs, spaniels etc and accepts friendly dogs belonging to friends who stay here for a few days, and he's great with people and adores visitors of all ages.
