Joe is a fun loving sweet exuberant boy (naughty but nice!) who has finally settled down in the show ring.
He has won well both in the UK in Europe gaining his Champion title in the UK & a CACIB & a reserve in Europe.
His critique from S Wales Champ Show where he won his first Reserve Challenge Certificate (he also won his second one at this show):-
" 1 Little's Sofala Joe The Lion. Really well balanced dog in shape & outline, lovely proportions throughout, strong & muscular of excellent breed type, lots to like about this dog. Handsome head & expression, round dark eyes, good length of neck leading into well laid shoulders, strong bone, good deep chest & ribbing carried well back, well muscled strong rear quarters with good turn of stifle, moved soundly both ways, pleased to award him RDCC " (Judge Colin D Ashmore)
STOP PRESS! Joe has been awarded his second CC at Welsh KC in August 2018 judge Pam Blay.
STOP PRESS! Joe has been awarded his first CC (3 make a champion) at the Midlands & Northern Rhodesian Ridgeback Club in July 2018 with an entry of 161 Ridgebacks!!
His critique from judge Espen Engh:-
Open Dog 1. Sofala Joe the Lion
A big dog, definitely masculine, still has elegance and quality to boot. He very much impressed for his proportions and outline, and for me he was a cut above the rest of the males for true, classical breed type. Classical head with the most beautiful expression. Long and strong neck. Well balanced angulation both ends with moderation. Deep and capacious chest. Beautiful topline and underline. Excellent long ridge with symmertry. A clean mover coming and going, just above average from the side, he only has enough animation. Still did enough to win the CC.
His critique from Pam Blay at WKC where he won his 2nd CC
1 Little's Sofala Joe The Lion, mature dog who I can't remember ever seeing before, excellent masculine head & expression, lovely neck & shoulders, strong topline & loin, well set tail, good depth & width of chest, well muscled hindquarters, this quality boy is balanced & when he moved in profile he just covered the ground with ease with a correctly held head & when set up, he looked so very typical & correct.
