Sofala kennel has been breeeding Rhodesian Ridgebacks for more than 25 years. We strive to produce beautiful animals with good temperaments and ensuring all those being bred from have had all the essential health checks. They are checked for hip and elbow dysplasia . Also the genetic tests for haemophilia B and Degenerative Myelopathy - a condition which causes collapse of the hind quarters between the ages of 7 - 12 years old. we have never put a healthy pup to sleep - any ridgeless pups have found the same wonderful homes as those with ridges. They are just as beautiful. Should their new family wish to participate in a canine activity there is plenty of fun and competition in obedience and agility and the dogs love it.
