Maud is from our Disco themed litter her nest name was Summer (as in Donna) to go with her "official" name of Hot Stuff.
She is a happy sociable girl & very easy to live with although she probably has the highest prey drive in our pack.
She has been placed in every show apart from one to date & has qualified for Crufts 2017 13 times at the time of writing this.
She has won as many friends in & around the show ring as she has at her visits to the pub.
**** Maud won the Hound Puppy Group at Oxfordshire CanineSociety under hound specialist Mrs L Tyler Jackson after winning Best Puppy & Reserve Best of Breed (11 dogs present)so proud of our Maud!
**** Maud attended her first show at 6 months & 3 days & qualified for Crufts 2016 in both of the classes she was entered in at the RR Club of Scotland! ****
Her critique from judge Peter Singleton:-
"Nuthouse Hot Stuff, rangier but still shows promise. She needs to come together which I'm sure she will given time. Feminine & shows some elegance. Can put it together on the move."
And from judge Mark Cannon
"1st Hicks' Nuthouse Hot Stuff. Very pretty puppy with plenty of length of body. Nicely constructed but a little bum high at the moment. Moved very well once handler quickened the pace. I like her shoulder placement and it will be interesting to see her once she levels up. Lovely temperament."
And from Liz Storey
1 Hicks' Nuthouse Hot Stuff, light wheaten with very nice front angulation & well boned for size. Brisket down to elbow & ribbed well back. Feminine head & expression, good dark eye & well placed ear. Good length of neck, strong topline. Slightly more arch over the loin than I would like to see but nevertheless her quarters are well angled & well muscled. Movement was very steady & true both in profile, going away & coming toward.
From Marjon Franke 2nd Nuthouse Hot Stuff - 2.5 years. Nice in type. Lovely feminine head with correct proportions. Lovely dark round eyes. Beautiful long neck. Topline can be stronger. Well angulated in front and rear. Good forechest. Nice compact feet. Good ridge. Nice underline. Moves easy with a lot of drive. Lovely temperament.
Kenis Pordham wrote 2. Nuthouse Hot Stuff. Younger bitch, more unfinished but of great promise. Lovely head, good neck and front, firm in topline. Lovely hindquarters. Moved very well
Maud was a lovely calm mother to her first litter & we hope that they all inherit her steady calm temperament.
