Our latest addition Aida's daughter Queenie stayed with her mum grandad & other relatives at the Nuthouse.
As always we have chosen the really naughty puppy in this litter "happy to have anyone but Beatrice" was what they all said so Queenie Bea (or "Little Bea")stayed.

STOP PRESS! Queenie was awarded Reserve Best Bitch AND Reserve Best In Show at the Midlands & Northern Rhodesian Ridgeback Open Show at 22 months of age under breed specialist Gary Denver


Queenie was awarded Best Puppy in Show AND Reserve Best Bitch at SRRA Open Show under breed specialist Andrew Geeves - her critique:-

1st Hicks�s Nuthouse Queen of Clubs, 9 month old quality bitch with a feminine hound head, good stop and correct bite, good reach of neck onto a correct lay of shoulder, well boned front with good infill, deep chest and well ribbed back, level topline, correct tail insertion, nicely angulated lean muscled rear quarters and low set hocks, moved out smoothly and with purpose, straight coming and going. Came into her own in the Bitch Challenge. BPB, BPIS & RBB

She was then awarded BPIS at The Midlands & Northern Rhodesian Ridgeback Open Show (14 puppies present) her critique from judge Jim Woodcock:-

"1 Hicks' Nuthouse Queen of Clubs. At just 10 months this young lady shows great promise, with her overall balance, great head and neck leading into well angulated front. Good topline with correct ridge, well muscled rear with a good turn of stifle and standing on neat well knuckled feet. Moved with both reach and drive whilst still maintaining accuracy. Pleased to award her BPB and BP in Show"

Queenie qualified for Crufts 2019 at her first show (6 months & 3 days old) by coming second in her class - only beaten by her litter sister. She had a couple of happy bounces but in the main was surprisingly well behaved!

She was awarded 7 first places in all as a puppy at 7 different Championship shows (so 7 different judges); she was also awarded 6 second places & 4 3rd places, plus one reserve as a puppy at Championship shows.

We did not manage many open shows as a puppy due to a poorly dog & a litter but Queenie managed to get her Junior Warrant (she needed 7 wins at open shows) at 14 months of age thus gaining her Stud Book Number too & qualified for Crufts for life.
