Brogan was the second St Bernard to join our family and although did have a brief venture into the show ring (Crufts qualified 1st show), she much preferred being a family pet. Brogan was a niece of our very first St Bernard Bruce and they remained close throughout their lives.
Although she had a very sweet nature, she was without doubt top dog in our pack for a long time and kept all the other boys and girls in check. Brogan taught her canine companions good manners and one look from her would end any squabbles before they got started.
Brogan loved her home comforts and had her own settee where she could be found most of the time.
We were deeply saddened when we had to give Brogan sleep aged 6 due to heart failure. Nobody has filled her boots yet and we now have no real leader of the pack. However one of Dana's daughters looked so like Brogan that we decided to honour her memory by using Brogan's kennel name (Bronwyn) for her pet name so we have a permanent reminder of our most special girl.
