Welcome to my Champdogs page I hope you enjoy looking around and any queries please do not hesitate to contact me.

My dogs are first and foremost family members and much loved pets but I am lucky enough to be able to enjoy exhibiting at shows and working them through the shooting season, primarily on grouse and partridge. Very soon I am hoping to take a leap of faith into the field trial world! Updates on this to follow, for now though, let’s start at the beginning.....

Dogs have always been a family affair, starting with my nana who had Dachshunds. Mum then diversified away from small dogs obtaining her first GSP “Ellie” some 30 years ago. Ellie brought her to the world of dog showing and gundog work. 3 dogs later she obtained “Flo”and by this point she felt competent enough to breed her own litter, as such her affix Arkangath came into existence.

In the mean time, nana had gone and got herself into Miniature Schnauzers and not to miss out mum bought my first Mini “Daphne”, something for me to show and for her to establish her lines in this breed. Daphne had a lot to answer for as I then became hooked on the show world!

Then some 16 years ago I found myself in a position to be able to take on a puppy and naturally that came from my mum, a GSP called “Root”. I became very passionate about Root’s training and was proud to see him turn into a very competent working gundog, being invited back to shoots year after year! We also enjoyed some mild success in the show ring with him obtaining his stud book number.

When it came to a point where I wanted another puppy, it became apparent that me and the family had differing views on dogs. As such, I felt it was time to strike out on my own and the affix “Elfrindew” was born.

Whilst this is my affix, it is held jointly with my mum Tracey to remind us both we have a common passion and interest. Primarily however, it is mine with choices to do as I deem necessary.

Cumulatively we have many years of experience, something we are proud to share. This guarantees that if you buy a puppy, you will receive a lifetime of support and guidance should you need or require it. It also means that when you approach us you can be assured of honest, relevant and supportive advice.
