Breeder of:

  • Irish Setter

Our love of Irish Setters started many decades ago, but our first Irish Setter, Kira, entered our lives in 2020. She is the inspiration behind our kennel name; ultimately she's the founding member of our kennel name. Kira is our soul dog. She is our beloved pet and, while she was destined to be our first show dog, Covid-19 had other ideas. All shows and indeed ringcraft classes were off so we never got a chance to learn how to actually show dogs so it just never happened for Kira.

But, she is the most perfect example of the breed in looks, temperament and personality. She is loving, caring, biddable, easy to train and truly 1 in a million.

Kira has had 2 litters for us and has now retired, age 5, as we personally feel 2 litters, given this breed traditionally has large litters, is enough. Kira means too much to us as a beloved family member to breed from her again. She has blessed 17 other families with beautiful puppies over her two litters; all of whom are still in touch nowadays many of whom we now consider to be good friends. All of her puppies have gone to fantastic new homes reaching to the outer Hebrides to the far North down into Spain! Some have entered the show world and done well and others are living their best lives as much loved family pets. Every single new owner is still in touch, even if it's just once/twice a year, others message regularly, we LOVE that people keep in touch!

Kira has blessed us directly with two "keepers"; our first being Kestra (Scokira Emerald Dream (2023)) and our second being Kassie (Scokira Cassiopeia (2024)).

Both girls have and continue to do well in the show ring - with both Kestra and Kassie in the cards at Crufts 2025 coming 2nd and 4th respectively in their class.

While Kira has retired from breeding now, Kestra will be next to join the breeding program, pending her hip scores coming back as acceptable. We have a waiting list for future puppies so please drop us a message if you'd like to know more.

Kestra is hereditary clear of PRA/CLAD.

All puppies are:

● wormed (Panacur)
● microchipped
● vet checked

- Vaccinations available upon request.
- We can also accommodate pups needing to stay on longer due to holidays, etc.

■ All puppies go to their new homes having been raised in the family home amongst children, cats, they'll also have been introduced to our pet sheep, horses and hens and are VERY used to all household noises, well socialised including with trusted other dogs that I walk (I'm a dog walker by trade) and they'll have been around loud, unexpected noises such as gunshots and firework sounds (played loudly by bluetooth speakers if out of season)
■ all puppies will be well used to new sites, sounds and textures, have been introduced to the car, be well on their way to house training and all will leave with a puppy pack that includes something that will smell of mum/their siblings, some food they've been weaned onto, an information pack and booklet and a lifetime of support, help and advice.
■ All pups are weaned onto raw as we truly believe raw is the healthiest option for dogs - it is, afterall, what nature intended for them. We feed a mix of pre-made quality raw minces and mix this with well balanced DIY raw too - it is all balanced out and supplemented with raw eggs, oily fish, raw meaty (size appropriate) bones and hairy/furry treats too along the way. Pups are also fed good quality kibble at other meals so they are used to digesting a range of options as obliviously we appreciate raw isn't for everyone.
■ All pups leave with a starter pack of appropriate food. All puppies also leave with 5 weeks free KC pet insurance. All puppies leave with a booklet all about Irish Setters too which includes early puppy days, settling them in, etc, right up to grooming, training and much more!

We LOVE it if you keep in touch, in fact honestly, it's an actual requirement! Even if it is just once or twice a year :)
