I've been around dogs all of my life and have been training and studying dogs since 1998, I qualified as a Veterinary nurse in 2000, am a Member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and run my own Dog Training Business.

I've owned and reared many different breeds of Dog.
In 2008, I rescued Ru (Ruperts Gold Boy), a working Golden Retriever. Ru was an unwanted gun dog. He had no life skills and his first year with us was hard, whilst he learnt about life. I quickly fell in love with the breed and their loving nature.

Ru was a registered pedigree dog and I found a new litter of working golden retriever puppies that shared the same dad as Ru.

Narla (Merryway Narla of Goldbounty) arrived in August 2009 and was a refreshing addition to the family. She is a confident bitch with great working abilities. She is used as a Demonstration Dog representing my business and is great around children as she has grown up with our own son. We conducted a lot of research into the breeding lines of working Golden Retrievers. In February 2012 Narla had a litter of 11 pups (The Gem litter), Sired by Fergus. We kept one bitch from the litter who's called Olive (Goldbounty's Olivine).

Ru, Narla and Olive have all achieved their KC Good Citizens Gold Awards and all compete in Agility. They also enjoy training gun dog work.
