Champdogs Requirements for Miniature Wire Haired Dachshunds

Litters

• Both parents must be a recognised standard colour for the breed
• The sire of the litter must be at least 12 months old on the litter due date
• The dam of the litter must be at least 12 months old on the litter due date
• The dam of the litter must be under the age of 8 years old on the litter due date
• The dam must not have whelped another litter within 11 months of the litter due date
• At least one of the sire or dam must have tested clear for the following health tests :
  • PRA (cord1)
  • Lafora
• It is recommended both the sire and dam have had the following health tests :
  • An unaffected Eye Examination within the past 18 months
  • IVDD - Xray Screening with the total of both parents grades added together equalling 3 or lower
• It is recommended at least one of the sire or dam has tested clear for the following health tests :
  • PRA (crd)

Stud Dogs

• The dog must be a recognised standard colour for the breed
• The dog must be at least 18 months old
• The dog must have had the following health tests :
  • PRA (cord1)
  • Lafora
• It is recommended the dog has had the following health tests :
  • An unaffected Eye Examination within the past 18 months
  • PRA (crd)
  • IVDD - Xray Screening with a grade of 2 or lower
