Champdogs Requirements for Miniature Wire Haired Dachshunds

Litters

Both parents must be a recognised standard colour for the breed
The sire of the litter must be at least 12 months old on the litter due date
The dam of the litter must be at least 12 months old on the litter due date
The dam of the litter must be under the age of 8 years old on the litter due date
The dam must not have whelped another litter within 11 months of the litter due date
At least one of the sire or dam must have tested clear for the following health tests :
- PRA (cord1)
- Lafora
It is recommended both the sire and dam have had the following health tests :
- An unaffected Eye Examination within the past 18 months
- IVDD - Xray Screening with the total of both parents grades added together equalling 3 or lower
It is recommended at least one of the sire or dam has tested clear for the following health tests :
- PRA (crd)

The dog must be a recognised standard colour for the breed

- Lafora
It is recommended the dog has had the following health tests :
- An unaffected Eye Examination within the past 18 months
- PRA (crd)
- IVDD - Xray Screening with a grade of 2 or lower
