Blixemby Skylight Phoenix of Ember x Ffynongain Buzzard of Wauniago

My beautiful home bred bitch Phoenix has been confirmed in pup. Phoenix has the sweetest and kindest nature, she is a truly loved part of the family but also my first competition dog, the dog I won my first working test with, and is also a key member of my picking up team, as well as being my most useful and trusted peg dog for shooting over. I also currently own Phoenix’s mum Ember, and half sister Blaise; and prior to this, I also co-owned her Grandmother, Great Grandmother (Geordieland) and Great Grandfather (Bedgebrook). These dogs were Gamekeeper owned and very much established in the shooting field, and over the last 10 years, I have continued the line with an occasional litter.

Ffynongain Buzzard of Wauniago – ‘Buzz’ won a Novice Trial on his second birthday in Cornwall, in January 2018. The following year Buzz ran in a few Open trials and gained two certificates of merit. In the 2019/20 season, Buzz had five open runs. He claimed third place at the Westward two-day open. He made the second day of all but one trial, culminating in winning the North West Labrador Retriever Club’s two-day open. This meant he qualified for the IGL Retriever Championship, where he gained 4th place.

Both parents are fully health tested (hips, elbows, current eyes and DNA as above). Pups due around 22nd May, and ready for new homes end of July. I am keeping a puppy from this litter and I am now taking enquiries to register an interest in one of these puppies and be considered for the waiting list. Puppies from Phoenix’s previous litter and this line have excelled in various disciplines, primarily gundog work (whether this being a picking up dog, peg dog, rough shooting dog or competing / working test dog – 3 puppies from her last litter already excelling in the working test world, 2 having won their first puppy working tests, and one having gained a 2nd on the IOW this year at NDNH at her first ever test), but also deer tracking work, agility, canicross and detection work. These puppies will thrive with a job to do, but will also make ideal family members to active, knowledgeable pet homes.

Puppies will be raised in the house around children, other dogs and all the usual household sounds and chaos. They will start their toilet training with me from 4 weeks old (straight to outside) and will be weaned onto a raw diet (with an introduction to kibble if required for future homes). By the time they are 8 weeks old they will be very familiar and comfortable with a crate and traveling in a car. They will come with a comprehensive puppy pack to include a contract of sale, all relevant paperwork and documentation, they will be wormed, vet checked and microchipped.
