**Due to a family change in circumstance one bitch has become available. (24/2/24)**
TED: Pantycelyn Highland King at Northdrum is an outstanding example of a JRT, beautiful construction, made just right, gorgeous head,
lovely top line and a superb gentle temperament with a lovely wee cheeky character to boot. He is first and foremost a pet but is now being campaigned at local and most Championship Shows nationally as, having shown potential as a youngster, this was swiftly realised, and he is now doing exceptionally well and enjoying life as a Show Dog. Ted has a fantastic nature and thoroughly enjoys competing, a real ‘show man’ who just loves to strut his stuff, a great fun little dog who is a loyal companion to his owners and their other dogs. Ted was repeatedly coming 2nd in his classes in 2019 and 2020 with a very nice Reserve Best in Sow at Coatbridge, Airdrie and District Show 2020; he soon starting hitting the top spot after this, Best in Show at Gateshead Metropolitan Open Show and Reserve Best in Show at Manchester and District Sporting terrier Show plus gained a 1st at Crufts for the first time. This year, again won his class at Crufts as well as many others. His winning streak goes from strength to strength and he has qualified for Crufts 2024. A very exciting Show career is well and truly underway for Ted and we have high hopes for his off spring.
NELL: Our little smiley, cheeky monkey is Nellie, bought in from the renowned Locheil Kennel, she is just such a treasure and a darling to live with. She gave us a Rough coat in our line and that very strong composition and great bone of Locheil. A typical terrier in many ways but in many ways not, quite strong willed is our Nell but very biddable, her recall is superb; she adores her runs out but is just as happy snoozing on the settee (oh yes, she likes her creature comforts); she is not a digger and wouldn’t be seen going down a hole, loves her food and her home life but is equally as happy trotting round the show ring showing off. Living with 6 other dogs, 4 GSPs to boot, she is a very social wee girlie and likes the company of her larger family siblings and will certainly make her presence felt but is not unnecessarily yappy, I think she would find too much barking just too tiresome! Nell was campaigned in the ring as a young pup quite considerably where she showed good promise and had great success but has only been lightly shown in the last year or two whilst she has her litters. She took well to Motherhood but certainly doesn’t over mother, she has had two previous litters and dependent on how this litter goes will potentially have a fourth and final litter. Having kept a boy from a previous litter of Corrie, I am hoping to keep a bitch from Nell’s litter this time which will be our next project. To sum up, Nell is just a wee cuddle monster, dearly adored!
We are hugely excited for this pairing between Nell and Ted as with their pedigrees on paper they have the potential to produce something really quite special. The pups are likely to be broken and or rough coated, they will be reared in the heart of a busy home and will be given as much socialisation as can be done, being ready for their new homes at 8 weeks of age. They will be fully vet checked, microchiped and wormed, they will leave their birth home with a comprehensive Puppy Pack inclusive of all information required to help them settle in their new homes swiftly and effortlessly, all new owners will be expected to sign a contract.
THE PROCESS: We are Scottish Borders Council Licensed Breeders, Royal Kennel Club and SSPA Assured Breeders and we like to make acquiring and owning one of our pups a truly wonderful, magical experience, right from the very beginning. You will be taken on a journey from Day one, we provide daily Pupdates (WhatsApp Video plus a weights chart) detailing the puppies progress so you can feel involved in their early weeks, visits are allowed from 4 weeks of age and the Selection/Allocation process takes place at 6 weeks of age, following which a non-refundable deposit of 20% is paid to secure your pup, and pups go to their new homes at 8 weeks, which in this case would be early March 2024.
The pups are born into and brought up in a busy home spending their first 4 weeks in a spare bedroom, in total peace and quiet with Mum, before being brought downstairs into the heart of the busy home for the second 4 week period, to commence socialisation. As much socialisation is conducted as is possible as this is key to the onward development of the pups, they are exposed to everyday noises and more, and mix with the other 6 family dogs. Two health checks are carried out by our own Vets (ARMAC of Biggar) and the pups undergo a course of worming at 2, 4, 6 and at 8 weeks of age just before leaving for their new homes. The pups are Microchipped, and leave with a very comprehensive Puppy Pack including RKC Registration, 5 Weeks free Insurance with the option to continue, a health check letter from our Vet, Food and manufacturer's information guide, a blanket that has been in the pups bed for weeks (helps with the first few days settling in), old toys and new toys plus a a detailed and informative Information pack providing you with everything you need to know about Socialisation, Feeding, Exercise, Health and Welfare, Grooming etc. The pups are Endorsed (not for Export and not for Breeding) plus we demand our new Puppy Owners to engage in a contract with us (which can be viewed in advance). Most important of all, we provide Lifelong Support (life length of the dog), as much or as little as desired, to all our pups and families and are ALWAYS on hand throughout the dog's life.
14 Dec 23: Nell is now 4.5 weeks since mating and has been confirmed in whelp. I have a full Waiting List but whether we have the right mix of boys and girls is another matter and all in natures hands.
References and contact details of owners who have a pup of ours can be given. Thank you.
19 Jan 24: Nell has had a beautiful litter of 7!! 6 girls and 1 boy; a much much bigger litter than anticipated so I currently have 2 girls available.
24 Jan 24: One bitch available to the right home (selection/allocation done at 6 weeks not before so have choice of all 6 girls; chosen/allocated to suit family and lifestyle)
