We are pleased to announce Ruby has been confirmed in whelp by scan. Puppies are due 3rd/4th April and will be ready for new homes from 8+ weeks (first week of June) all being well. This will be her first litter.

Ruby has a calm temperament, she is perfectly happy out on long walks, but also cuddled up at home on a sofa, if she gets the chance! She has been brought up with children and other dogs and is a perfect family pet. We are anticipating she will be a super mum and nurture well balanced puppies.

The sire Toast has a fantastic temperament. He is first and foremost a family pet, but regularly works and is a keen working dog. He has FTCHs within his lineage. His profile can be seen on Champdogs.

Our aim is our puppies will make excellent family pets but also have the potential to work given the appropriate training. We will be keeping a puppy ourselves.
The litter will be hereditary clear for the following: prcd-PRA, SD2, CNM, EIC, CY, DM, HUU, HNPK, STDG and MCD. COI = 0.3%. If you click on the health tests it opens another window to explain what the test is for.

The puppies are expected to be delivered in the home and our aim is to handle as much as Ruby allows from day one. They will be exposed to many different experiences whilst in our care, including but not limited to: household sounds and experiences; children; occasionally other family members dogs; other adults; indoor and outdoor play and introduction to crate training, Every effort will be made to raise happy, healthy confident puppies.

New puppy parents are encouraged to visit frequently from 3 to 4 weeks (observation only) and then interaction as puppies are older. Regular visits are likely to help with the bonding both for puppies and the families. It helps us to get to know you and select the right puppy for you. To assist with this, we will observe our puppies to match appropriately with potential owners.

Over the weeks leading up to your puppy coming home we aim to provide advice for both new and not so new puppy parents as appropriate. We do encourage you to keep in touch; and we love to hear about and see the progress of our puppies growing and settling with their new families, whether through phone calls, photos, social media or occasional catch ups for dog walks etc.

The puppies are health checked and microchipped a few days prior to leaving for their new homes. Puppies will be Kennel Club Registered, have the 5-week insurance coverage, They will be wormed up to date, and you will be provided with a worming certificate. Your puppy will come with a piece of vet bed with Ruby’s and littermates' scent to help with the"settling in period" in their new home. We ask you to sign a contract and in the sad event of the need to rehome him/her, we ask you to come back to us regardless of their age.
