** UPDATE** Kya gave birth to 10 gorgeous, healthy beautifully marked Red Wheaten puppies on May 25th 4 males and 6 females. I am so sorry to the disappointed potential puppy parents who wanted a male pup and we now have one beautiful ridgeless female pup available ( just as lovely but with darker ridge shaped fur down her back where the ridge would have been). She will be the perfect pet for a loving forever home and her price reflects she is ridgeless.**Update** Our last very pretty ridgeless pup has just been reserved by a lovely family who came to see her today 11/07/2021. All puppies are therefore reserved, should anything change I will adjust the listing...Thanks everyone for your interest.

** UPDATE ** We are over the moon - We have emailed, spoken to & met some wonderful future potential puppy parents over the last 7 days ( Kya met & approved them too 🤗🐾🐾) & we have a good number of puppies reserved therefore we are closing our list until the puppies are born. RedCrown Rhodesian Ridgebacks are excited to announce the confirmation of our upcoming litter of Red Wheaten dual purpose pet/potentially show quality puppies. We are passionate about producing health tested, top quality dogs of good temperament & will fully vet our puppies potential families to ensure they will be going to capable, loving forever homes.
Both sire 'Jervis' & dam 'Kya' are Hip/Elbow & DNA tested. They both have outstanding pedigrees containing multiple champions from Russian, Australian, US, Dutch, British & African top quality breeders bloodlines. This pairing has been chosen carefully with an inbreeding co-efficient of 0% to hopefully enhance and compliment each dogs attributes to ensure healthy, well constructed red wheaten offspring If all go's to plan 🍀
Dam Kya tests: JME, DM, Haemophilia clear, HD 2/6, ED 0/2, DD, B/b Ridge Gene R/r (Kya EDR2 score due to jumping off a steep bank on our lane before we could stop her, as a 7 month old puppy, and landing heavily on to the gravel path on her right elbow - BVA automatically mark a 2 for a lesion/scar on an x-ray ( even though no osteoporosis & perfectly healed & from years ago) and we have a Vets verification letter to show this is why the 2 has been given.
Sire Jervis tests: JME, DM, Haemophilia clear, HD 0/1 ED 0/0, DD, BB.
Kya & Jervis have been very successful in the show ring winning many classes at both Open & Championship level both having been in the cards at Crufts. Kya has gained her Stud Book number & is therefore qualified for Crufts for life ( a fabulous achievement which RedCrown Ridgebacks are very proud of).
Our dogs are part of our family and live in the house with us, they are very well behaved & respect their place 'in our pack'. We will have endorsements placed on the puppies papers 'progeny not eligible for registration' & 'progeny not eligible for export' (These may be lifted in the future if certain criteria is achieved). All owners will be asked to read, check & sign their sales contract prior to taking their new baby home.
Puppies will be checked for DS, be KC registered, given their first vaccination, wormed and have KC insurance.
