This is a litter where we are trying something different. Ever in the quest to produce the total dobermann I asked a friend to give me some suggestions on a stud dog for Zara's final litter. I knew I was looking for a dog with a superbly balanced character but also one where health & longevity was a main player, she ticked those boxes for me!

I get so many calls from people who have lost their dogs prematurely at 4-8 years old, while death will always find a way to hear of so many people being robbed of wonderful years with their dog because of dog dying so young, we can do all the health testing in the world but fundamentally what i find to be the biggest indicator of a potential litters life span is whats behind them.

Ijuri has an incredibly interesting pedigree, he is currently 7 years old, his father is 12 and alive, his mother passed away due to an accident at 12 years 5 months but was fit and healthy until this point. all grand parents have reached 10 years old or more, the information available for great grand parents is the same, ages of death recorded have been 9/10++. Ijuri's mother was still competing in working trials at the age of 10, this whole line shows exemplary longevity and health right to the end.

While no breeding is guaranteed, every mating is a genetic lottery, I believe that bringing dogs like this in to a breeding program will inject that much needed oomph back in to the dogs we have today.

Not to leave Zara out of the equation, she her self has many dogs in her pedigree who have made old bones. At 6 years old she is still fit as anything, I was hoping by now she would have slowed down a little but I should count my blessings that she is still as nuts as she is! Zara has been shown in various countries in europe with great success, before life got in the way I used to train Zara in Shutzhund. She showed great promise and we did attain our BH and AD awards. Dogs from her previous litters have been shown & worked with great success. Newfords Kiss Kiss Bang Bang gained her Junior Dutch Championship title while Newfords Keep Talking has been crowned top Dobermann in Denmark 2016.


Puppies from this litter will be suitable for working, Show & companion homes.
I am looking to place a male in a home where there will be the option to use him at stud should he pass all the health screenings.

Ref: VWD, Due to a number of people being unclear on how VWD is inherited, if a dog is a carrier of VWD it has one defective gene however this does not affect the dog, it has no symptoms. The only time a carrier is of any relevence is when a dog is being bred from. If a carrier is bred from it should only be bred to a Clear to eliminate affected dogs ever being produced. If you are looking for a companion dog the VWD status is immaterial, even for any surgical procedures.
