I'm happy to announce that Patsy is expecting her first litter, we did have other plans for her using semen from abroad and doing AI but taking her age, being maiden and a reduced chance of a pregnancy being successful in to consideration we opted to make use of Luca's ever persistent offer of service and he's not let us down.

Having used Luca before we are familiar with the type of puppy he produces both physically and mentally. The combined pedigree is full of long living dogs which is ultimately what we are aiming for. I receive so many calls from prospective owners who have lost their dogs young and the heart ache never truly leaves when you are robbed pf precious years of companionship. Sometimes its bad luck, other times its people not looking at the dogs behind in the pedigree while other times its people just not giving a shit and breeding regardless many times knowing there is an underlying higher risk of a problem. This is what angers me most of all, the only ones to suffer are the families who love the dogs and the breed them selves.

While no breeding or dog is guaranteed I can honestly say that when I look at the dogs I put together & the pedigrees behind them I'm making a concerted effort to aim for a total dobermann where temperament, conformation & longevity is taken in to consideration.
Luca & Patsy have been health tested well above the UK KC standards including a current Echo & Holter looking for any signs of DCM, As I've said time and time again while this is not a guarantee of future health & longevity it does give a better starting point where odds are stacked in your favour instead of against.
