Aafke was born in February 2020 in the Netherlands. She is the first Wetterhoun to be imported to UK as part of the UK Stabyhoun Association plan to support the breeding of this rare Frisian waterdog in the UK, under the guidance of the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Stabij- en Wetterhounen (NVSW). She has been assessed twice by Dutch judges as Excellent. She was awarded "best bitch" by the NVSW judges at Stabyfest 2022. She has Grade A hips and Grade 0 elbows. Her Embark DNA test shows 100% Wetterhoun and she is not at increased risk for the genetic health conditions that Embark tests. She is a happy and healthy dog who enjoys Hoopers, Scentwork and agility in addition to general duties attending to small rodents in the garden and chilling out on the sofa.
