Caris is a grandaughter of the lovely Remy, Sh Ch Steelriver Blazin Hot at Blacktoft and brings some familiar and some new lines to Steelriver. Both her parents are full champions being both show dogs and working gundogs. Sire Rossi has been the overall winner of the Gamekeeper Classes at Crufts.
She has had an amazing show career so far, winning Best Puppy in breed at her first 4 championship shows including the Flatcoated Retriever Society show. She gained her Junior Warrant at just 13 months old followed by her first Challenge Certificate at only 15 months and has other notable wins. Caris was the Flatcoated Retriever Society Top Puppy for 2021 and the NEFRA top show dog for the same year. She is quite a character, has an opinion about most things and makes me laugh every day. Caris is now an Irish Show Champion and has won FCI group 8 on 2 occasions and was reserve best in show at the retriever speciality in 2023.
