Verified Health Tests

Paddington is a fit proven fully health tested stud dog in his prime, with a lovely temperament and very good health results (hips 6-6, elbows 0, clear eyes & 1 gonioscopy, ICT clear, PRA1 clear & PRA2 clear), Paddington attracts admirers wherever he goes. He lives with a young family and gets on well with everyone, people and dogs.

Paddington is show line and has a gorgeous golden coat, a rare combination, particularly with his excellent health results as well. His father featured in a photo shot as a fit-for-purpose dog for a dog food manufacturer and achieved a Junior Warrant. His mother and his litter sister achieved the Good Citizen Gold award and qualified as Therapy Dogs. He also had three full aunts/uncles qualified as Assistance Dogs with Dogs for Good.

Five of Paddington's puppies have gone into training to be an Assistant Dog, four with Guide Dogs for the Blind and a fifth with Dogs for Good. At least four of his progeny have gone abroad, two to South Africa, one to Iceland and one to the USA.

Paddington has sired sixteen litters so far at regular intervals. His litter size average is a fraction under 8 puppies per litter (125 puppies in total), with his most recent litter containing a record for him of 12 puppies.

Paddington’s gorgeous coat, handsome head and superb health results mean that his puppies are sought after. This should all help you in finding good homes for your puppies and getting a good price for them, if you use him as a sire. Indeed often his litters often have an 'all sold' designation even before they have been born, confirming the popularity of his progeny.

You are welcome to meet Paddington prior to mating. Please note that we now require that you have your bitch’s blood progesterone level quantitatively tested before you come.

If enquiring about Paddington’s services, please let us know the Kennel Club name of your bitch, when you expect her to be in season (or when she came into season if she is already in season) and any health results for her not yet showing on the KC site. If you have not yet completed your bitch's health tests, we can usually help you to find the best places to do them quickly and efficiently.
