Gus is a great big softie in all ways. His coat is like velvet around his head and neck, and he is totally sweet natured. However, as RR can be, he is mighty scary to those he hasn't met for the first 10 seconds, as he is bold and physically impressive and strong.
He has sired 2 litters with our Maud and he really enjoyed playing with the pups as they grew up. And we kept 2 from that litter and although he naturally has to continually tell Egbert who is boss, Gus has a great time playing with them both.
Gus can usually be found on a sofa wrapped around Maud.
